Gestures You Can Perform to Avoid A Police Stop
Hello and greetings to all,
This particular article could help you avoid a police stop. It may seem stupid or even ridiculous, but to an officer it says a lot. A police officer is constantly on the look out for one thing: OUT OF NORM. He is looking for things, events, drivers, pedestrians, and people that are out of place or out of norm.
While a police officer, and through talking with fellow cops after major arrests or a major bust, we would share with each other how stupid the driver or pedestrian was just before we arrested him or her. You see, in countless situations the perpetrator 'helped' us make the arrest.
Here are a few examples: A sudden slow down in speed, a sudden changing of lanes (especially a lane change to turn), an adjustment of the rearview mirror, suddenly rolling your window down ( to air out the vehicle), constant head turning, and constant braking. All of these will get an officers' attention in a hurry. Well, now that you know that, here are a few things to keep in mind while driving near a police unit.
First be normal. Whatever behavior that you normally exhibit while driving, don't change. Second, drive as if the police unit is not there, in other words, concentrate on something else. Third, if you can't relax or concentrate, pull into a service station, a post office, a store , or any public place and resume driving later.
Now here's my best. When I saw this, I would never stop that vehicle.
I hope I can explain this accurately. Place your right hand on the steering wheel (at the 12 o'clock position), take your left elbow and situate it on your door window sill, take your left hand and scratch your head, play with your hair, or if you're bald, rub your scalp. I can't explain it, but this action appears so normal and innocent that it has always cause me to look elsewhere. I believe that it says, I'm not a criminal or violator.
I hope this article gives you a clue as to how simple gestures and moves makes a difference to a police officer.
As many of you know, my mission in life is to reveal unfair police tactics and procedures. But I also wish to help innocent drivers escape a confrontation with the police. In my book COP OUT, I reveal the many ways I, as a former rogue cop, violated the citizens. I only wish to help now. Take care! Obey the law.
